Formula Guidelines

  • Typical recommended dosage at 0.2~1.5%.
  • To disperse NM-Carbomer941 completely, it should be slowly and carefully sifted to dispersion medium while the mix is stirred rapidly to avoid formation of lumps; Extremely high shear rate mixer should be carefully employed to avoid viscosity loss.  
  • The ideal viscosity can be achieved at ph ranges of 5.0~10.0; To achieve maximum thickening, NM-Carbomer941 should be neutralized; in a hydoalcoholic system, a correct neutralizer must be chosen carefully based on the amount of alcohol to be gelled.   
  • After neutralization, high-shear and lasting stirring should be avoided to keep stable thickening ability.

When neutralized by alkali it forms sparkling clear water or hydroalcoholic gels and creams.

NM-ST 2342 Rheology Control Additive Synthetic thickener NM-ST 2342 rheology control additive is a powdered synthetic thickener based on polyacrylic acid. Being used in aqueous systems for a variety of different purposes in printing, coating or other technical applications. It demonstrates ion insensitivity to electrolytes which may be present in dye printing systems, combined with efficient thickening performance. This resin is un-neutralized and requires addition of an appropriate neutralizing agent to achieve maximum thickening efficiency. Neutralized dispersions of the NM-ST 2342 show high viscosity and high yield stress and can be used for suspending pigments or other particles in an aqueous system.
