Rheology control additives

Application
and Features
Anhui Newman Rheology control additives
are used for a variety of purposes in
printing, coating and other technical applications. NM-ST rheology
control agents utilize associative thickening mechanisms to provide efficient
sag control, improved leveling and pigment/particle suspension in both ambient
and thermally cured applications. The NM-ST series such as NM-ST 2641, NM-ST 2640, NM-ST 2623, NM-ST 2342 and NM-ST A series such as NM-ST A 30 Rheology control additives are water-borne alkali swellable thickeners that provide thixotropic (shear thinning)
viscosity modification. Depending on the degree of hydrophobic modification, a
range of yield values and shear response is achievable.

NM-ST 2623 rheology control additive is a powdered synthetic
thickener based on polyacrylic acid. Being used in aqueous systems for a
variety of different purposes in printing, coating or other technical
applications.
It
demonstrates ion insensitivity to electrolytes which may be present in dye
printing systems, combined with efficient thickening performance. This resin is un-neutralized
and requires addition of an appropriate neutralizing agent to achieve maximum
thickening efficiency. Neutralized dispersions of the NM-ST 2623 show high
viscosity and high yield stress and can be used for suspending pigments or
other particles in an aqueous system.
